WHAT I’M ALL ABOUT
My name is Mark, owner, designer, and craftsman at Ervin Woodworks. Being a self-taught craftsman has allowed me to explore and develop my skills over a lifetime. Along my journey the passion for woodworking grew with a calm, deliberate approach to design, sparking an appreciation for the time-honored techniques and the skill that goes into making a truly fine piece of furniture.

I began my woodworking experience much later in life after retiring from the military. I served almost 30 years in the US Navy, in both Active and Reserve capacities, I retired in 2019 with a VA rating of 100% total and permanent disability. The therapy of woodworking has proven to be the best medicine for me.

Our goal, however, isn’t just to make custom items. We want to reintroduce the appreciation and awareness of traditional quality craftsmanship to our patrons. We live in a culture whose primary focus is on mass produced, cheaply made, low quality products. As a result, this is what most people have come to expect.
Have something created with your needs in mind that will last a life time, and continue to look and feel as good as the day you bought it. My advice to you: let your imagination be limitless. Let quality be your guide. Let Ervin Woodworks get you there.
